Main objective / purpose of the role:
Ensure efficeint and effective management of accounts receivable/revenue transactions and customer master data, with a commitment to continuous improvement in processes
Oversee the sales invoicing process and maintain control to ensure accuracy and timeliness of sales invoice issuance
Improve processes and solve problems thorugh close collaboration with various stakeholders
Critical success factors / key deliverables:
Main responsibilities are but not limited to:
Accounts Receivable and Order-to-Cash management
Reconcile AR ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Ensure cash receipts/rebates are accurately applied to customer accounts and corresponding invoices.
Resolve OTC related issues/unreconciled items through investigation with stakeholders.
Manage AR related reporting process (AR aging, collection, bad debt provision, and DSO)
Analyze trends and provide insights on AR performance
Reveiew monthly reconciliations of cash balances, deposits, promissory notes, and advance payment received from customers and timely resolve any issues identified
Customer Master data management
Ensure customer information in master data are maintained accurately and compliant with policies and procedures.
Perfrom periodic reviews of customer master data and follow up to resolve issues identified
Sales invoice control and VAT reconciliation
Oversee the sales invoicing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of invoice issuance.
Maintain internal controls to prevent errors in the sales invoicing process.
Manage the Sales VAT reconciliation, ensuring compliance with tax regulations
Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues identified during the VAT reconciliation.
Revenue related accounting
Keep track of Mako deals and communicate with HongKong Finance Center(HKFC) to ensure accurate revenue recognition and lease receivable recording
Monitor fulfilment of volume agreement (capital sales-type lease) and manage shortfall claims
Manage deferred shipment of capital sales in collaboration with Customer Service and HKFC
Prepare monthly close of Technical Service's service billing transactions
Process improvement and system management
Enhance billing process in collaboration with stakeholders (Sales, Customer Service, etc.)
Enhance processes related to Customer Master data
Manage and improve sales and invoicing module in ERP (and associated) system, optimizing reporting capabilities and data accuracy
Financial reporting support
Support the preparation of management reports, financial statements, and Balance Sheet review
Assist in the preparation of SOX documentation and walkthrough testing, ensuring compliance with internal controls
Assist in internal/external audits and corporate tax return filings
Others
Manage local bank related tasks
Manage agent commission payment and GPO fee (accrual & payment)
Lead or support ad-hoc analysis and projects upon request
Knowledge / Skills / Attributes
Academic qualifications / degree & relevant prior experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent (Finance/Accounting related major)
Strong communication & teamwork skills
Strong presentation skill
Good command of English communication (Reading/Writing/Speaking)
At least 3 years of progressive Finance experience prefered
Good understanding of USGAAP and/or IFRS required
Good command of Excel/business system handling
Experience in project management
